Perry Common Community Centre
Perry Common Community Centre is set to undergo a major refit in 2009 thanks to funding from Witton Lodge Community Association as part of a pilot project for Birmingham City Council.
Plans are currently being drawn up for the enhancements to the Centre, which will include the building of a new section on the side of the Centre which will provide office space for Witton Lodge Community Association and local businesses, a new Advice Shop, a training centre and meeting room. Plans also include renovating the existing hall and the installation of a modern kitchen and toilets.
The pilot project is exploring how the Council can transfer ownership of assets to Community Organisations.
